From Israel Defense Forces:

“Moroccan Jews celebrate a holiday called Mimouna at the end of Passover. It starts the moment you can go back to eating bread. The word “mimouna” means success in Moroccan Arabic. That is what the holiday is all about. We eat traditional foods with lots of oil and dough, and have a ceremony where we dip lettuce in milk and drip it on the heads of guests (milk symbolizes abundance).
Everyone in the neighborhood knows each other, so we all go from house to house to eat and celebrate. It’s a huge festival for the community!”
